Reflection on Academic Journey

                                          Reflection on Academic Journey

There has been significant growth in note-taking skills, academic writing, and academic integrity. I have learned that notetaking can be done in various ways such as outlining methods and mind maps. It is one of the important techniques which enables students to understand complex subjects.

Similarly, maintaining academic integrity was vital. Academic dishonesty includes plagiarism, collusion, commissioning, duplication, false declaration, and falsification of data. Modules addressing plagiarism has given a clear sense of its implications and the consequences. Moreover, it has guided me to attribute sources and citations if it is the work of others. Likewise, academic writing is also one of the significant modules which can enhance the writing skills of the students. It consists of some of the features such as formality, structure, logic, evidence and sources, objectivity, and precision which has to be followed in academic writing. However, it can be challenging to have well-structured writing with proper citations and evidence. In addition, it may be difficult to be objective while writing self-reflections. Nevertheless, these challenges can be overcome with practice, time management, and seeking feedback from tutors and friends.

In conclusion, I realized that academic skills such as note-taking, academic writing, and academic integrity are essential and have to be followed by the scholars. It has also enhanced my writing skills.
