Book Review

I read a book titled Make Your Bed by Admiral Mcraven's, based on the commencement speech he gave at the university of Texas. He is a retired U.S. navy and a Chancellor of the University of Texas System. This book talks about the importance of small things that brings a lot of positive changes in one's life.

In this book, the authors share about his experiences and things he learned during his Navy Seal training that helped him overcome challenges not only in his training, but also throughout his life. As I read this book, I came to know that even the slightest thing such as making our bed every morning can become a habit and make a person responsible. I follow this lesson everyday not only making my bed but also, I try to read at least a page every morning. Eventually, it encourages me to do other challenging things such as completing my assignments on time which is a bigger issue for me. As said by the author, if you can't do the little things right, you will never do the big things right. If we want to have a bigger change in our life's, one should always start from a scratch which will eventually lead to a better success. This book was worth reading as I got a lot of things to learn and understand. Actually, my roommate recommended me this book because I used to always procrastinate things and keep my bed messy, so she just thought that I should read this book once. Therefore, I read it, and I am thankful to her as I could see some changes in myself.
